Message from the Committee

Over the past two weeks we have heard so much talent in the voices of our students. The founders of this festival had a vision to provide an encouraging platform for students and their teachers so that they feel supported and valued for their individual contribution to the vocal arts.

There were so many fantastic performances over the past two weeks. The high caliber of singing in the Halton area was recognized and mentioned by all three of our adjudicators. Congratulations to all of the OVAF participants!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many sponsors and volunteers of the Oakville Vocal Arts Festival this year. Without your help, this festival would not be possible. Our festival is strictly run by volunteers so we are very grateful to have the support of many students' parents and teachers working at the front desk and as adjudicator assistants over the past two weeks. We would also like to give special thanks to our corporate sponsor, the Goodale Miller Team, and our artistic sponsor, Innovative Arts.

We would also like to recognize all of the parents and teachers that see the value in this festival experience and have registered students in over 350 performances in this year's festival. Thank you for supporting a festival that doesn’t award prizes for the finest performances, but instead celebrates the contributions of every student!

Our goal is to provide an environment where students can expect to be encouraged and inspired to continue the art of singing. We want to develop a community of students that inspire one another and can appreciate each other’s contribution to the arts. We come together in song to celebrate what is possible when passion meets discipline and when talent meets compassion.

Thank you for your support. We hope to see all of you again next year!
