After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music and Choral Conducting, Matt has spent the last 12 years touring across Canada, the US and Australia playing with several acts including his own folk duo Ash & Bloom. He’s also a been recording artist, recording several albums, writing hundreds of songs for himself, other recording artists, commercials and television shows. Notably, he co-wrote on Julie Crochetière’s JUNO nominated album for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.

Matt has performed on stages alongside renowned acts like Basia Bulat, Scott MacIntyre of American Idol, Ruth Moody, Justin Hines, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Sean McCann of Great Big Sea, and Christopher Cross.
